Sunday Brunch at Sabrina's Cafe

Sabrina's has been on my hit list for about a year now.  Since they are known for their brunch, and since I am not a morning person, it has taken me quite a while to check out the scene.

However, it is sooo worth the crawl out of bed!

It's local. It's hip.  And it's good!!!

Check out the monthly menu specials!  It was meant to be!!

Jason and I decided that our next guest will get a special treat to Sabrina's...

... so come pay us a visit!

Do you have a favorite place to eat breakfast / brunch?  I'd love to hear of other local hot spots!

Happiness in Haddonfield

Any time in Haddonfield is a Happy Time!

Photo: Bistro Haddonfield

Jason and I had lunch at The Bistro at Haddonfield.  I would highly recommend the calamari.  Possibly the best calamari I have ever tried!  It was drizzled with balsamic and raspberry vinaigrette and topped with portabella mushrooms... sooo good.  Only regret: not taking pictures.

Afterwords we were lured into Indulgence Cupcakery  The baker had to of loved us as Jason's and my decision making on how many cupcakes to purchase grew from one each to six a piece!

Yup, that's right we came home with a dozen cupcakes.

 Sooo worth it!!

Bastille Day Street Festival... Let Them Eat Cake!

Eastern State Penitentiary in Fairmount  (2020 Fairmount Ave) will be hosting the Bastille Day Street Festival from 2:00 - 6:00 today.  Come join the reenactment of the the French Revolutionaries Storming of the Bastille and Marie Antoinette's cry, "Let them eat cake" (or if your in Philly, Tastykakes)!

To be frank, I'm more excited about the French Food than the reenactment!  Local restaurants in the Fairmount area such as The Belgian Cafe, Bishop's Collar, Rembrandt's, and Trio just to name a few, will be participating in the French fare festivities.  I may just get my Eggs Benedict I've been craving!

Why we're going...

Well other than my cravings, Studio Incamminati will also be participating in the Bastille Day Street Festival. Visit there blog, here.  As many of you know, my hubs is an artist, and he will be a part of the Studio Incamminati En Plein Aire Artists.

Fortunately for us, events such as these force us out of bed on a Saturday morning.   I can't wait to see all the powdered faces, fluffed wigs, and Marie Antoinette imposters.  It should be good!

Cravings... Eggs Benedict

Wouldn't it be nice to wake-up to Eggs Benedict smothering a warm English muffin?

This past June, Jason and I spent our anniversary eating brunch at Parc.  I'm starting to think we should make a monthly trip out of this.  Maybe even weekly.  So good!

Valentine's Day Review

My Valentine...

My View...

Dinner for Two...

Jason and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Porcini's in Center City at 21st and Sansom.  A small Italian restaurant in an 1840s coach house owned by brother's and quite possibly the friendliest place I've dined.  Not to mention the food was delish!
